Pyogenic granuloma (PG), also known as lobular capillary hemangioma, is extremely rare following burn injuries, and there is no conclusive theory about its pathogenesis and best treatment option. Here we report a brief case of a 2-year-old child with a third-degree burn who developed disseminated pyogenic granuloma and was successfully treated with systemic corticosteroid.

Oral pyogenic granuloma (OPG) is a benign vascular proliferation that presents as a solitary, pedunculated, or sessile lesion, associated with irritative factors. Various systemic disorders, particularly type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2), may contribute to its onset and progression through inflammatory and endothelial mechanisms. This clinical case report describes a 63-year-old male with a history of controlled hypertension and DM2 with glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) of 7.97%, diagnosed with stage III, grade C generalized periodontitis. Therapeutic management began with periodontal phase I, includi

Pyogenic granuloma (PG) is a benign vascular lesion of the oral mucosa whose progression is strongly linked to pregnancy, due to increased hormone levels (estrogen and progesterone), which promote an exacerbated inflammatory response. There is controversy regarding the appropriate timing of PG treatment during pregnancy. This clinical case describes a 25-year-old patient, 12 weeks into her pregnancy, who presented with an exophytic, oval, fibrous lesion located on the interproximal gingiva between teeth 32 and 33. Treatment included an initial phase of scaling, coronal and root planing, and or

Periungual pyogenic granuloma (PG) is a benign reactive vascular lesion commonly associated with trauma and/or drug exposure, including anticancer therapies such as epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitors and other targeted agents. These lesions often cause pain, bleeding, and functional impairment, and may lead to interruption or dose reduction of relevant anticancer treatment. However, there remains a need for effective and noninvasive treatment options that can be easily administered in clinical practice. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical effectiveness and safety of topic

Pyogenic granulomas (PGs) are benign vascular tumors that present as rapidly growing, friable papules that often bleed and cause cosmetic disfigurement. PGs generally respond well to treatments such as excision, laser, cryotherapy, topical imiquimod, and topical timolol, but agminated PGs can be distressing to patients and challenging to treat. Topical sirolimus, an mTOR inhibitor, is used in the treatment of other vascular anomalies but has not been previously investigated for use in PGs. We report two patients with agminated PGs who demonstrated improvement in size, color, and bleeding follo

Pyogenic granuloma (PG) is a benign vascular lesion that commonly occurs in the oral cavity during pregnancy, whereas cutaneous involvement of the hand is rare. I report a 33-year-old gravida 3 para 2 who presented at 39 weeks of gestation with a rapidly enlarging palmar mass measuring ~3 cm. The lesion became friable and interfered with hand function. Magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated a well-defined exophytic lesion confined to the superficial tissues without deep involvement. Surgical excision was performed four weeks postpartum under local anesthesia with sedation. Histopathological e

Pyogenic granuloma may recur when an underlying vascular anomaly remains untreated. We report a case of recurrent pyogenic granuloma of the finger pulp associated with a deep venous malformation successfully treated using sequential dual-wavelength pulsed dye laser (PDL, 585-595 nm) and Nd:YAG laser (1064 nm). Four sessions were performed at three-month intervals (PDL 6 J/cm2; Nd:YAG 50 J/cm2; 10-mm spot; long delay sequential mode) with integrated cooling. Complete clinical resolution was achieved without adverse effects or recurrence after five years. Sequential PDL-Nd:YAG therapy represents

Pyogenic granulomas (PGs) are rapidly growing benign vascular lesions that often become ulcerated, bleed, and recur after standard surgical or laser treatments. This article highlights a simple noninvasive technique for treating recurrent PGs using cryotherapy followed by daily application of table salt under occlusion for 2 weeks. Topical application of table salt is an inexpensive and largely pain-free option for patients who are not candidates for or opt out of surgery.

Oral focal mucinosis (OFM) is an uncommon, benign condition of the oral cavity marked by localized myxoid degeneration of the connective tissue. This report presents a highly unusual case of a large OFM localized to the maxillary gingiva of a 55-year-old female patient in Hail, Saudi Arabia. Because its clinical appearance closely mimics reactive overgrowths like pyogenic granuloma, establishing a clinical diagnosis is difficult. Consequently, definitive diagnosis relies entirely on histopathologic assessment. While gingival OFM remains exceedingly rare, it should be routinely included in the

Pyogenic granuloma, or lobular capillary hemangioma (LCH), is a vascular lesion that rarely occurs within the neuraxis and can lead to neurological deficits due to mass effect on neural structures. We present a 62-year-old man with LCH located in the intradural intramedullary region of the thoracic spine, treated surgically via gross total en bloc microsurgical resection without radiation or chemotherapy. No recurrence of LCH was noted at the 27-month follow-up, with near-complete restoration of neurological function. Our case supports that gross total resection alone of intradural intramedull

RATIONALE: Lobular capillary haemangioma (LCH), also known as a pyogenic granuloma, is a benign vascular tumour that can appear in the oral cavity but its occurrence in the buccal mucosa is relatively rare.
PATIENT CONCERNS: A 7-year-old girl presented with a painless, gradually enlarging lesion on the right buccal mucosa, associated with bleeding and swelling.
DIAGNOSIS: Clinical evaluation and histopathology confirmed the diagnosis of LCH.
TREATMENT AND OUTCOMES: The lesion was surgically excised under local anaesthesia. Healing was uneventful, with no recurrence over a 6-month follow-up.

INTRODUCTION AND IMPORTANCE: Glomus tumors are rare, benign growths originating from the glomus body, typically presenting with severe pain, pinpoint tenderness, and sensitivity to cold. Their small size and rarity often lead to misdiagnosis, with an average delay of 7 years.
CASE PRESENTATION: This report details a 37-year-old man experiencing burning pain in his right little finger, aggravated by cold, for 6 months. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed a lesion indicative of a glomus tumor, confirmed by histopathology after surgical excision.
CLINICAL DISCUSSION: Differential diagnoses

Background: Pyogenic granuloma (PG) is an uncommon vascular proliferation that, when it arises intraorally, is predominantly gingival; buccal mucosal involvement is rare. Extragingival PG in elderly patients may mimic malignant vascular tumors. Methods: We report a 69-year-old woman with a 1.0 cm ulcerated mass of the left lower buccal mucosa that enlarged after biting trauma. The excised lesion was examined histopathologically and by immunohistochemistry for CD31, CD34, D2-40, S100, human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8), Ki-67, and p53. Reports of buccal mucosal PG published up to December 2025 were re

BACKGROUND: Metastatic tumors to the eyelid are rare but clinically significant, often indicating advanced systemic malignancy or presenting as the first sign of an occult primary. Histopathology is the diagnostic cornerstone, yet the spectrum of clinicopathological patterns, immunohistochemistry, and common diagnostic pitfalls has not been systematically synthesized at the patient level.
METHODS: We conducted a PRISMA 2020-compliant systematic review (protocol registered on the Open Science Framework). PubMed/MEDLINE, Embase, and Scopus were searched on 7 March 2026 without date restrictions

Oral pyogenic granuloma (OPG) is a reactive vascular lesion that may worsen during orthodontic treatment due to biofilm-induced inflammation. This clinical case describes the surgical and mucogingival management of an OPG associated with fixed orthodontic appliances in an adolescent patient. A 12-year-old male patient presented with an oval, pedunculated lesion with a smooth surface and soft consistency, measuring approximately 8.5 × 6.5 mm, located on the attached gingiva adjacent to tooth #21. Therapeutic management consisted of complete surgical removal of the lesion under local anesthesia;

Reactive gingival lesions are benign, tumor-like proliferations that commonly involve the gingiva and arise due to chronic irritation or inflammation. The primary treatment is complete excision of the lesion, which, along with appropriate adjunctive measures, helps improve healing and reduce recurrence. This case series presents three cases of reactive gingival lesions managed by diode laser excisional biopsy with adjunctive curcumin gel and/or photobiomodulation (PBM). The diagnoses were confirmed by histopathological examination.
