Felty's syndrome was first described in 1924 by the US-American physician Augustus Roi Felty as a triad of rheumatoid arthritis, splenomegaly and leucopenia. UNLABELLED: Large granular lymphocytic leukemia (LGLL) is a rare clonal lymphoproliferative disorder from T or NK origin.
PURPOSE: to report on the diagnostic and therapeutic management of LGLL investigated in the university hospital at Nancy, France.

We present a case of a 56-year-old female patient who presented to the emergency department with a one-day history of fever and confusion. She was found to have splenomegaly, multiple swan neck deformities, and pancytopenia. BACKGROUND: Felty syndrome is defined by three conditions: neutropenia, rheumatoid arthritis, and splenomegaly. Neutropenia associated with pancytopenia may further affect the dental condition of a patient. Periodontal treatment and surgery in patients with Felty syndrome necessitates cooperation with a hematologist. Here we present a case of a patient with Felty syndrome who was initially referred to the oral surgery hospital attached to the School of Dentistry for extensive periodontitis. Delayed tracheal rupture following total thyroidectomy (TT) is rare and represents a potential airway emergency. A 34-year-old female with Felty Syndrome underwent TT for Hashimoto's thyroiditis. On post-operative day 10, she presented with subcutaneous emphysema and an anterolateral tracheal perforation on CT scan.
