Symptomatic changes and influencing factors following manipulation under anaesthesia in patients with adhesive capsulitis of shoulder: a protocol for a prospective cohort study.

INTRODUCTION: Adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder is a common shoulder disease. With the ageing population, the incidence of adhesive capsulitis has been rising year by year, posing a significant threat to the quality of life of middle-aged and elderly individuals. As one of the main means of treating adhesive capsulitis, manipulation under anaesthesia (MUA) can achieve good clinical results while maintaining high economic benefits. The purpose of this study is to investigate the prognostic factors and the longitudinal recovery trajectory of patients, so as to provide a basis for the precise t

Si-ITGA6-Loaded Liposomes Inhibit Capsule Fibrosis via the FAK/PI3K/Akt Signaling Pathway in Adhesive Capsulitis of Shoulder.

BACKGROUND: Adhesive capsulitis of shoulder (ACS) is a common shoulder disease with pain, joint stiffness, and capsule fibrosis. The pathogenesis of ACS remains unclear, and long-term efficacy of current treatment for ACS is not satisfactory. Given the absence of targeted therapy, proteomic analysis is conducted on the capsules of ACS patients, in an effort to identify the potential target for ACS treatment. The liposome-based siRNA delivery system was utilized for in vivo experiments due to its non-immunogenicity, stability, and low off-target effects compared to other siRNA delivery methods.

Rare Case of Musculocutaneous Neuropathy in a Professional Baseball Pitcher.

INTRODUCTION: Adhesive capsulitis, or frozen shoulder, is a painful and disabling condition characterized by progressive restriction of shoulder movement. Hydrodilatation, a minimally invasive procedure involving joint capsule distension, has been proposed as an effective treatment option. This study evaluates the functional outcomes of hydrodilatation in patients with adhesive capsulitis using the Constant-Murley score (CMS) and American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) score, along with pre- and post-procedure range of motion (ROM) assessments. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A prospective observa

Antioxidant RuCo nanosheet attenuates capsule fibrosis in adhesive capsulitis of shoulder by p38 MAPK signaling pathway inhibition.

Adhesive capsulitis of shoulder (ACS) is a prevalent orthopedic disorder characterized by pain and restricted range of motion (ROM). The pathogenesis of ACS remains unclear and current treatments have limited efficacy in terms of long-term outcomes. Here, we synthesized antioxidant RuCo nanosheets (RuCo-NSs) for the treatment of ACS. The reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging ability and the effect of RuCo-NSs on the activation of mouse fibroblasts NIH3T3s were investigated. In addition, RuCo-NSs were administered to the mouse model of ACS through intra-articular injection into joint capsule

Bidirectional Mendelian randomization analysis reveals the causal effects of nutrients on arthropathies.

Arthropathy was related to macronutrients in an increasing number of studies nowadays. However, the causal effect of macronutrients and micronutrients on them remains unknown. The macronutrient and micronutrient summary statistics from the greatest genome-wide meta-analysis produced by the DietGen and other cohorts and genome-wide association studies statistics of arthropathy from FinnGen were used in this two-sample bidirectional Mendelian randomization investigation. The causal relationship between macronutrients and arthropathy was investigated using inverse variance weighting (IVW), Mendel

The risk of adhesive capsulitis of shoulder in diabetic patients taking metformin has not been evaluated. We aimed for evaluating the relative risk of adhesive capsulitis of shoulder in diabetic patients taking metformin at the level of the whole country population. We conducted a retrospective cohort study using a national health insurance database in Taiwan from 2000 to2015. We used International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision, to categorise the medical condition for study group and comparison group. We used Cox proportional hazard regression analyses to determined adjusted hazar
