INTRODUCTION: As most patients with metastatic urothelial carcinoma (mUC) will be treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI), familiarity with their associated immune-related adverse events (irAEs) is critical. IMPORTANCE: Overactive bladder (OAB) affects millions of women in the United States, with negative effects in multiple domains that have an impact on quality of life. Third-line therapies for OAB are as effective or superior to lifestyle/behavior modification and medical management, yet few women access these treatments and often spend more than 36 months to reach these treatments after starting medication. Radical cystectomy is a therapeutic modality of choice for many patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer. AIMS: The aim of this study is to propose an objective uroflow based index for diagnosing over active bladder (OAB).
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Thirty patients with OAB and 30 controls were used in the pilot study. Three uroflow parameters: Uroflow index (UI = Qave/Qmax), voided volume ratio (VVR = voided volume/expected bladder capacity) and time to Q max (TQmax) were studied.
