Global variability in the clinical presentation of endometriosis: A scoping review.

Endometriosis affects approximately 10-15 percent of women of reproductive age, yet its clinical presentation remains inconsistently reported. This scoping review mapped the global spectrum of endometriosis-related symptoms and examined factors influencing symptom reporting. Following the JBI framework, studies were identified using two databases to identify studies published between 2004 to 2024. Of the 1286 articles initially screened, 95 articles were included. Studies reported on a range of symptoms (49 symptoms) involving multiple organ systems, with the most commonly reported symptoms be

Vulvovaginal Collagen Injection as a Regenerative Strategy in Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause: Results of a Pilot Study.

Background/Objectives: Genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) is a common and under-diagnosed condition that significantly affects the quality of life of post-menopausal women. Conventional treatments, especially those based on estrogens, have limitations, which has prompted the search for alternative therapies in the field of regenerative medicine. In this context, intradermal injectable collagen, with regenerative and analgesic properties, could represent an innovative option. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of multipoint intradermal injections of collagen (MD-Tissue)

Pelvic Congestion Syndrome: The Gynecological Perspective.

Background/Objectives: Chronic pelvic pain (CPP) is defined as pelvic pain lasting longer than six months and is a common yet often overlooked condition, affecting over 40% of women worldwide and accounting for about 10% of gynecological consultations. Despite extensive investigation, including laparoscopy, no cause is identified in up to half of cases. Pelvic congestion syndrome (PCS), also referred to as pelvic venous insufficiency (PVI), has been estimated to account for up to 30% of CPP cases, although it remains underdiagnosed. PCS is caused by venous reflux or obstruction in pelvic veins

[Endometriose i klinisk praksis].

Endometriosis is a chronic, estrogen-dependent inflammatory disorder affecting ~10% of reproductive-age women. It is underdiagnosed, with delays of 5-12 years. Symptoms include dysmenorrhea, chronic pelvic pain, dyspareunia, dyschezia, dysuria, fatigue, and infertility with endometriosis present in up to 50% of infertile patients. Diagnosis relies on clinical assessment, imaging (TVUS/MRI), and occasionally laparoscopy. Pathogenesis involves retrograde menstruation, genetic and immunologic factors. Management includes analgesics, hormonal therapy, surgery, physiotherapy, and psychosocial suppo
