Background. Ovarian pregnancy is a rare form of ectopic pregnancy. It is often difficult to distinguish from tubal pregnancy, and diagnosis and management are frequently a challenge. Case. Malignant melanoma of the scrotum is the rarest of the primary genitourinary melanomas, with only 19 cases having been reported previously. The authors have described a rare case of a primary scrotal neoplasm. The necessity of a prompt diagnosis has been emphasized. We are presenting an additional case of this often aggressive malignancy. The pertinent literature has been reviewed and the current management strategies have been discussed.

Primary ovarian ectopic pregnancy, i.e., the implantation of the gestational sac in the ovary, is one of the rarest forms of ectopic pregnancy. A primary ovarian pregnancy is one of the rarest varieties of ectopic pregnancies. The conditions which are most commonly confused with an ovarian pregnancy are, a ruptured corpus luteal cyst, a haemorrhagic corpus luteum and a ruptured endometriotic cyst. This case presents the clinical and the histological findings of a ruptured ovarian pregnancy, along with a ruptured corpus luteal cyst in the contralateral ovary.

Ovarian pregnancy is an uncommon presentation of ectopic gestation and usually, it ends with rupture before the end of the first trimester. Its presentation often is difficult to distinguish from that of tubal ectopic pregnancy and hemorrhagic ovarian cyst. We report a rare primary ruptured ovarian pregnancy in a 26 years lady.

A case of primary ovarian twin pregnancy is presented. A 30-year-old woman, gravida 3 para 2, was admitted to Medical College Hospital, Jabalpur, for postdated pregnancy with intrauterine fetal demise. Ultrasonography showed a break in the continuity of the uterus suggestive of a ruptured uterus. On laparotomy, twin ovarian pregnancy was discovered. One fetus was postdated, showing signs of maceration. The bones of the other fetus were discovered in the sac, suggestive of an autolysed fetus of approximately 26 to 28 weeks of gestation.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate pregnancy outcomes subsequent to ovarian pregnancy treated by surgery.
METHODS: A retrospective analysis was conducted of ovarian pregnancies that were treated by surgery at a hospital in Korea between January 1996 and December 2009.

We present a case report of an ovarian pregnancy after ipsilateral partial salpingectomy. A 19-year-old woman was admitted with vaginal bleeding and right lower abdominal pain. She had a history of right partial salpingectomy caused by a tubal pregnancy. The pregnancy test result was positive, and a right adnexal mass was identified by ultrasonography. Laparoscopy revealed a right ovarian pregnancy. Thus the possibility of ipsilateral ectopic pregnancy should be considered even when the patient has a history of salpingectomy total or partial.

Primary ovarian pregnancy is a rare entity, the incidence being 1 in 25,000 to 40,000 pregnancies. The diagnosis is difficult and still continues to challenge the clinicians. A case of ovarian pregnancy is reported here. The patient underwent laparotomy with right sided oophorectomy. Histopathological examination confirmed it to be an ovarian pregnancy.
