BACKGROUND: Trichorionic triplet pregnancy reduction to twin pregnancy is associated with a lower risk of preterm delivery but not with a lower risk of miscarriage. However, data on dichorionic triamniotic (DCTA) triplet pregnancy outcomes are lacking. This study aimed to compare the pregnancy outcomes of DCTA triplets conceived via in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) managed expectantly or reduced to a monochorionic (MC) singleton or monochorionic diamniotic (MCDA) twins at 11-13+ 6 gestational weeks.

Heterotopic pregnancy is defined as the occurrence of simultaneous intrauterine and extrauterine pregnancies. It is a rare, potentially life-threatening condition and infrequent in natural conceptions. Here, we report a case of spontaneous heterotopic triplet pregnancy with ruptured cornual ectopic pregnancy and simultaneous twin intrauterine pregnancies at 18 weeks of gestation. The event led to miscarriage of all fetuses from both the ectopic and the intrauterine twin pregnancies.

We report a case of a 43-year-old patient with a monochorionic triamniotic triplet pregnancy after IVF with donor oocytes. There is limited data regarding the vertical transmission (VT) of severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2 infection. We report the first case of VT in preterm triplet pregnancy, with all triplets positive for severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2 at 20 hours and day 5 of life. This report reiterates the need for an expedited formulation of a simple, standardized, and reproducible international case definition and classification for VT.

Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is a serious complication of ovarian stimulation. Herein, we report a rare case of strangulated internal hernia in a woman with severe OHSS following ovulation induction. A delay in the diagnosis and management of acute abdominal pain can lead to serious problems. The aim of this case report was to highlight the diagnostic difficulties of abdominal pain in women with OHSS, and emphasize the positive effects of imaging and a timely differential diagnosis in clinical practice.

We report the unique case of a patient who recovered cardiac function despite a history of doxorubicin-induced cardiomyopathy, chest radiation therapy, high dose chemotherapy post-allogeneic stem cell transplant, and triplet pregnancy. Heterotopic pregnancy (HP) is defined as the simultaneous development of an intra- and an extra uterine gestation. The occurrence of a spontaneous triplet HP is an exceptionally rare medical condition. We report the case of a young woman with spontaneous heterotopic triplets at 8 weeks of gestation, with a misdiagnosis of topic twins and acute appendicitis.
