Ocular injuries associated with birth trauma are rare. Their incidence increases in cases of instrument-assisted delivery, emergency cesarean section, and abnormal presentation of the fetus. Innate lymphoid cells (ILCs), including ILC1s, ILC2s, and ILC3s, play critical roles in regulating immunity, inflammation, and tissue homeostasis. However, limited attention is focused on the unique phenotype of ILCs in the heart tissue. To describe the clinical signs and management of Descemet membrane (DM) detachment after forceps-related trauma during birth. This is a national survey of UK obstetric trainees and consultant labour ward leads designed to investigate the current practice and training for an impacted foetal head (IFH) at Caesarean Section (CS).
