The coronary arterial pattern was studied in two patients with superoinferior ventricular heart and haemodynamically complete transposition. In one of them the aorta was dextro-positioned and in the other laevo-positioned. Two cases of aneurysm of the great vein of Galen are reported. Diagnosis was made by means of computed tomography (CT) and confirmed by angiography. In truncus arteriosus communis, as in other anomalies of conotruncal development, the coronary arterial anatomy not only differs from that found in the normal heart but also is subject to unpredictable variations. Twenty cases of cor triatriatum are reported. The diagnosis was confirmed by necropsy in 16 cases and at the time of operation in 4. The lesion occurred as an isolated anomaly in 7 cases; in 13, other associated cardiac anomalies were present. Twenty-four cases of penetrating cardiac injuries due to stab wounds, which were seen over a 3-year period, are reviewed. Ten patients were treated by aspiration alone because tamponade was mild, or because they were seen more than 12 hours after injury.
