UNLABELLED: Testosterone plays a vital role in the development of boys. There is a lack of age-specific reference data for testosterone representing a gap in our abilities to differentiate physiological deviations from pathological conditions such as delayed or precocious puberty, anatomical aberrations such as hypospadias or epispadias, micro-penis or buried-penis and disorders of sex development.
OBJECTIVE: To establish age-specific reference values for serum testosterone in boys aged 1-14 years and generate centile curves to predict testosterone levels by age.

We report the case of a complete duplication of the urinary bladder and prostate, associated with one urethral meatus and a bifid urethra. Posterior urethral valves (PUV) account for most cases of lower urinary tract obstruction (LUTO) in male fetuses, with a prevalence of 1 in 5,000 live births. Prenatal ultrasound findings include bladder wall thickening, keyhole sign, oligohydramnios, and ureteral dilatation. A young, intact, female, American Bulldog was presented for hemorrhagic vaginal discharge. Anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukocytosis with neutrophilia, azotemia, and electrolyte disturbances were detected in the bloodwork. A urachal diverticulum with concurrent uterine distention was identified by ultrasonography and CT. The diverticulum was excised in surgery, and an ovariohysterectomy was performed. Histopathological examination confirmed an abscessed bladder wall with concurrent pyometra.

The urachus is an embryonic tube that connects the upper portion of the bladder to the umbilicus and normally obliterates during embryonic development, forming the median umbilical ligament. Incomplete obliteration of the urachus can result in various anomalies such as congenital patent urachus, umbilical urachal sinus, vesico-urachal diverticulum and urachal cyst. We report a term neonate who presented with swelling and discharge from the umbilical region, which through clinical evaluation and radiological investigations, was diagnosed as an infected umbilical urachal sinus.
