False-positive cervical lymph nodes on FAPI PET/CT after neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer: a case report.

A 49-year-old woman with cT3N1M0 stage IIIA HER2-positive invasive breast cancer is described in this retrospective case report. After six cycles of TCHP neoadjuvant chemotherapy, breast MRI confirmed that the primary lesion and axillary lymph nodes achieved radiological complete response. However, newly enlarged lymph nodes in levels II and III of the left neck were detected by neck ultrasound and contrast-enhanced CT. Subsequent 18F-FAPI-04 PET/CT revealed significantly elevated tracer uptake in these cervical lymph nodes, with a maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) of 18.2, which was

[A CASE OF PENILE CANCER WITH PELVIC LYMPH NODE METASTASIS SUCCESSFULLY TREATED WITH SIMULTANEOUS INGUINAL AND PELVIC LYMPH NODE DISSECTION AFTER TIP-BASED NEOADJUVANT CHEMOTHERAPY].

We report a case of penile cancer with bilateral inguinal and pelvic lymph node metastases in which neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC), followed by simultaneous bilateral inguinal and pelvic lymph node dissections achieved curative resection. A 66-year-old man presented with a penile tumor. Computed tomography (CT) revealed bilateral inguinal lymph node metastases and enlargement of the external iliac lymph nodes bilaterally. He underwent total penectomy with fine-needle aspiration cytology, which confirmed squamous cell carcinoma (pT2). Although cytology from both inguinal regions was negative, p

Automated Lymph Node Localization and Segmentation in Patients with Head and Neck Cancer: Opportunities and Limitations of Using a Generic AI Model.

Background/Objectives: Accurate assessment of lymph nodes is of paramount importance for correct cN staging in head and neck cancer; however, it is very time-consuming for radiologists, and lymph node metastases of head and neck cancers may show distinct characteristics, such as central necrosis or very large size. Here, we evaluate the performance of a previously developed generic cervical lymph node segmentation model in a cohort of patients with head and neck cancer. Methods: In our retrospective single-center, multi-vendor study, we included 125 patients with head and neck cancer with at l

Diagnostic and surgical challenges of a lymph node metastasis from occult gastric cancer mimicking a pancreatic head tumor: A case report.

Pancreatic head tumors are usually regarded as primary pancreatic neoplasms; however, metastatic lymph nodes from gastrointestinal malignancies may occasionally mimic pancreatic tumors and lead to diagnostic and therapeutic challenges, particularly when the primary lesion cannot be identified preoperatively. In the present case report, a 76-year-old man was referred for evaluation of a pancreatic head mass with elevated serum carbohydrate antigen 19-9 levels. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography and positron emission tomography-computed tomography demonstrated a protruding lesion in the pancr

Organ-Confined Giant Renal Cell Carcinoma: A Case Report and Literature Review.

Giant renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a rare clinical entity with no universally accepted definition, typically used to describe exceptionally large renal tumors. With the widespread use of cross-sectional imaging, such massive tumors are increasingly uncommon. Tumor size is generally considered a prognostic factor; however, its correlation with biological behavior remains variable. We report the case of a 53-year-old female who presented with progressive abdominal distension over two years, associated with recent-onset abdominal discomfort and constipation. Clinical examination revealed a large

Successful Rescue Therapy for Talaromycosis Complicated by Severe Acute Hepatorenal Failure with Hepatic Encephalopathy in an HIV/HCV-Coinfected Patient: A Case Report.

BACKGROUND: Treatment of critically ill patients with Talaromyces marneffei (T. marneffei, TM) infection involving multiple organ dysfunction remains a major clinical challenge. As an important contributor to mortality among individuals with Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), talaromycosis remains associated with mortality rates of up to 30% even with appropriate antifungal therapy. Severe hepatic and renal impairment may restrict antifungal dosing and thus further compromise therapeutic efficacy. However, current clinical evidence regarding the management of Talaromyces marneffei infe
