Brachial plexus injuries are among the most challenging clinical scenarios faced by hand surgeons due to the heterogeneity of presentations, the need to reconstruct multiple critical functions, and potentially limited donor options. In this case report, we presented a patient with a medial cord injury of the brachial plexus with a complete lack of grasp. Extrinsic grasp was restored with a double nerve transfer of the extensor carpi radialis brevis to the anterior interosseous nerve, along with the supinator to the flexor digitorum superficialis.

Seventeen gymnasts (aged 13.7 ± 2.0 years) performed landings after four tasks: drop landing, forward somersault, backward somersault, backward acrobatic series. CASE: A 21-year-old male sustained a high-velocity open knee injury with extensive osteochondral loss of the lateral femoral condyle, patella, and proximal tibia with an intact extensor apparatus. Following staged debridement and external stabilization, reconstruction was performed using a size-matched osteochondral allograft (OCA). The graft was contoured to restore condylar geometry and incorporated using internal fixation. At the 2-year follow-up, radiographs confirmed graft incorporation and the patient demonstrated excellent functional recovery.

PURPOSE: Degeneration at the common extensor origin leads to lateral elbow pain and reduced quality of life. We conducted a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial involving 71 patients treated with leukocyte-poor PRP (LP-PRP), leukocyte-rich PRP (LR-PRP), or saline.
