South Africa is experiencing significant changes in patterns of illicit drug use, including increasing injection and non-injection drug use, and the use of drugs by persons engaged in sex work, both of which could further expand the HIV/AIDS epidemic. BACKGROUND: Dehong Prefecture in Yunnan Province, China, borders Myanmar.
