LiF:Mg:Cu:P thermoluminescent dosemeters (TLD) can be used for the same X-ray dosimetry applications as LiF:Mg:Ti, with each type having the disadvantage of a response dependent on energy, particularly at low energies. Measurements were made of the response per unit air kerma of LiF:Mg:Cu:P and LiF:Mg:Ti to nine quasi-monoenergetic X-ray beams with mean energies from 12 keV to 208 keV. Several long-term sets of hourly nitrate concentration data were obtained through deployment of a nitrate sensor in an upper reach of the River Taw, a small moorland-fed river in the South West of the UK. The effects of 6 different litter amendments on broiler performance, level of atmospheric ammonia (NH3) concentration, and soluble reactive phosphorus (SRP) in litter was determined. Through 3 experiments conducted on 2 different commercial farms, one chemical amendment was added to the litter and then was compared with a control. An efficient and modified synthesis of ethyl-4-nitro/5-nitro/6-nitro and 7-nitroindole-2-carboxylates is described. Carbohydrazides of corresponding ethyl nitroindole-2-carboxylates underwent smooth one-step transformation to 1,3,4-oxadiazolyl nitroindoles (4a-l) on reaction with aromatic carboxylic acids in the presence of phosphorus oxychloride. An alternate method to synthesize 1,3,4-oxadiazolyl nitroindoles is also described. Among the newly synthesized 1,3,4-oxadiazolyl nitroindoles, a few compounds are studied for anti-inflammatory activity.

A systematic study of the fragmentation pattern of N-diisopropyloxyphosphoryl (DIPP) dipeptide methyl esters in an electrospray ionization (ESI) tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) was presented. The effects of diverse phenylaminopyrimidines (PAP), namely PAP-pyridines (type A), PAP-pyrazoles (type B) and PAP-thiazoles (type C), on Neurospora crassa Shear & Dodge has been investigated. In this study, modifications of glass ionomer cements (GICs) were made by adding bioactive glass (BAG) to GIC to obtain bioactive restorative materials. This study used SEM, EDS and visual analysis to examine the bioactivity and the ability of the study materials to mineralize dentin. Conventional cure and resin-modified light-curing GIC were used.
