We report an extremely rare case of intracranial lipoma that was associated with subcutaneous lipoma situated on the anterior fontanelle. During ultrasonographic examination of the subcutaneous lesion, intracranial lipoma was incidentally diagnosed. Computed tomography revealed corpus callosum agenesis, interhemispheric lipoma extending into the choroid plexus. Magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated the subcutaneous lipoma and also the exact extent of the lesion. The pathogenesis of lipomas is discussed and the literature is reviewed.

Lipomatous tumors are very frequent; simple lipoma is the most common variety. According to Enzinger, lipomatous tumors are classified into five different groups: simple lipomas, variant lipomas forms, heterotopic lipomas, infiltrating lipomas and lipomatosis, and finally hibernomas. Usually, lipomatous tumors are characterized by a slow, unpainful, growth. Classical treatment includes surgical resection. The clinical diagnosis is confirmed by histology. Liposucion can be a therapeutic option in certain cases.

Intravascular lipomas are rare benign tumors composed of adipose tissue that originate from the walls of blood vessels. They most commonly arise from veins, are typically asymptomatic, and rarely occur in the lower extremities. When large, these tumors can cause symptoms related to venous obstruction, such as swelling and pain. Filum lipomas, a subtype of spinal lipomas, are ectopic fat tissue deposits of the filum terminale categorized as closed spinal dysraphism. They are occasionally and incidentally observed on MRI images, but generally require little surgical treatment. Lipoma arborescens is a chronic, slowly progressive intra-articular lesion characterised by villous lipomatous proliferation of the synovium, usually involving the suprapatellar pouch of the knee joint. The adiposis dolorosa (Dercum's disease) was described already in 1892. Many questions about its physiopathological mechanism are still unresolved. Presentation of a patient with this disease is reported, followed by a brief review of the literature, where the pathogenesis, the differential diagnosis and the therapeutical approaches of this syndrome are especially pointed out.

In spite of being the most frequent benign tumour of the spermatic cord, absolute frequency of this neoplasia is very low. We discuss here a case report of an spermatic cord lipoma with several years evolution. Although ultrasound is useful for clinical diagnosis, exploratory scrototomy and surgical exeresis of the mass is the only reliable diagnosis and viable treatment.

We present a 40-year-old male patient with a lump in the parapharyngeal space protruding in the oro- and hypopharynx and obstructing the airway. Diagnosis lipoma. The pathology is reviewed and the surgical approach is commented upon.
