Colonic intussusception is an uncommon phenomenon in adults. Advanced imaging has facilitated the increase in awareness of this rare disease. When present, the lead point is most often secondary to a malignancy with primary adenocarcinoma being the most frequent cause. Current surgical management involves oncologic resections for this reason. This is a report of the third ever-reported case of colonic intussusception secondary to an angiolipoma and the first in the western hemisphere. We also demonstrate that these masses are amenable to minimally invasive resection for definitive management.

Three cases of infiltrating congenital lipomatosis of the face are presented. These lesions shared the following morphologic criteria: 1) nonencapsulated congenital fatty tumor; 2) infiltration of adjacent muscle and soft tissue; 3) absence of lipoblast and malignant characteristics; 4) presence of fibrous elements with numerous nerve bundles and vessels; and 5) hypertrophy of subjacent bone. To facilitate a diagnosis of a lipoma, specific imaging is needed such as ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Two male patients exhibiting a soft tissue tumor in the salivary gland area were examined using sonography and MRI. Final diagnosis was identified by excision biopsy.
