BACKGROUND: Hypercoagulability in lung cancer patients is associated with a high incidence of mortality and morbidity in the world. Therefore, this meta-analysis aimed to explore the correlation of the basic coagulation abnormalities in lung cancer patients compared with the control.

Ivy bleeding time values before and two hours after ingestion of 600 mg of aspirin (aspirin tolerance test) were studied in normal persons, in patients with a disorder of primary hemostasis and in patients with various coagulation factor deficiencies. Aspirin produced a significant prolongation of the bleeding time in patients with von Willebrand's disease, uremia, and primary platelet disease, and in two patients with Factor XI deficiency. Dextropropoxyphene hydrochloride caused no prolongation of the bleeding time in normal persons.

The study of systemic hemostasis in 254 patients with chronic gastritis has revealed that the exacerbation of the disease proceeds with marked disorders of blood coagulation typical for the first and second stages of the chronic relapsing thrombohemorrhagic syndrome and thrombophilia. They manifested in intensification of coagulability, lowering of anticoagulative and fibrinolytic potentials of blood, pathological intravascular coagulation. The disorders of hemostasis were strongly expressed during the period of marked exacerbation of the disease and in patients with erosive gastritis.

Post-traumatic hematoma is often associated with severe, extensive injuries. In patients with blood coagulation disorders, hematoma can occur even after innocuous injuries. Among these coagulation disorders is hemophilia, an X-linked recessive disorder characterized by hemorrhagic manifestations. The aim of this article is to report a case of massive scrotal hematoma following trauma in a 24-year-old hemophiliac with no signs of severity who benefited from medical treatment with infusion of coagulation factors with a good clinico-biological evolution.
