Between 1953 and 1980, a total of 935 patients underwent surgery for intracranial meningioma in the Department of Neurosurgery of the Helsinki University Hospital. The patients were followed up until death or the end of the year 1987. The cumulative observed survival rate was 91% at 3 months, 89% at 1 year, and 63% at 15 years. BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study was to examine a level 1 trauma center's 12-year experience treating frontal sinus fractures with regards to patient demographics, management strategies, and treatment outcomes.
METHODS: An institutional review board-approved retrospective review of all facial fractures at a level 1 trauma center was performed for the years 2000 to 2012. Patient demographics, location of fractures, concomitant injuries, use of antibiotics, surgical management strategies and outcomes were collected for all frontal sinus fractures. One hundred (100) patients were treated in the Department of Radiation Oncology, James Graham Brown Cancer Center, University of Louisville School of Medicine, from 1980-1994. AIM: To test the reliability of the self-classification concerning levels of breast and public hair development among female adolescents of different socioeconomic groups.
MATERIAL AND METHOD: A total of 445 female adolescents attending three secondary schools located in Ribeirão Preto, State of S. Paulo, Brazil, were studied. After being familiarised with Tanner's tables of breast and public hair development, the adolescents were asked to self classify themselves according to these variables. The results were compared to those obtained by a physical examination carried out soon after.

As many as 617 patients with measles were examined. Of these, 306 subjects presented with a complicated form of the condition. A way is suggested for the prognostication of complications, relying on clinical factors and on a method for non-uniform sequential statistical procedure.
