BACKGROUND: Female surgeons face increased rates of fertility challenges compared to the general population. We aim to understand surgical trainees' understanding and perspectives on family planning.

AIM: To describe Irish Healthcare Assistants'/carers' (HCAs) working conditions and wellbeing during COVID-19 Wave 1 and examine associations between PPE access and infection-related outcomes.
METHODS: A 24-hour rapid-response, mixed-method survey (23/04/2020) of HCAs/carers in Ireland (456) across care settings. Quantitative data (sector/setting, PPE, training, redeployment, pay, sick leave/isolation) were analysed in SPSS; free-text responses underwent thematic analysis (manual and N-Vivo12). Full PPE followed the HSE HPSC definition.

Ranunculus arvensis (R. arvensis) is a member of the Ranunculaceae family and is often used by advanced age women living in rural areas for the topical treatment of arthralgia, myalgia, hemorrhoid, and warts. Protoanemonin is a substance found in the fresh leaves of the plants from the Ranunculaceae family and leads to contact dermatitis. In this report, we present three cases that developed phytocontact dermatitis caused by the topical use of R. arvensis as an alternative treatment method for arthralgia and palmoplantar psoriasis.
