We developed here a vaccine-identical measles virus (MV) as an oncolytic agent against mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), an aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma that is difficult to cure but radiosensitive. In this work we comparatively analyzed interleukin-2 (IL-2) and interferon gamma production (IFN-gamma) and also CD69 and CD25 expression by activated T-cells depending on extracellular calcium concentration ([Ca2+]e), which was varied with EGTA. We have examined the role of heparan sulphate in lymphocyte development and activation in mice by conditionally deleting the genes encoding the heparan sulphate biosynthetic enzymes N-deacetylase/N-sulphotransferase-1 and -2 (Ndst1 and Ndst2) and glucuronic acid/N-acetylglucosamine co-polymerase-1 (Ext1) in T cells and B cells, respectively. OBJECTIVE: To examine 3 soluble circulating T cell antigens: interleukin 2 receptors (sIL-2r), CD4 (sCD4), and CD8 (sCD8) with von Willebrand factor antigen levels (vWF:Ag) and antiendothelial cell antibodies (AECA) as indices of endothelial involvement in patients with Wegener's granulomatosis (WG).

A patient with mycosis fungoides was treated effectively with the immunosuppressant cyclosporine A. Excretion of urinary neopterin, a marker of activation of the cellular immune system, fell immediately at the start of therapy.
