Necrotizing fasciitis is a polymicrobial infection of the skin, subcutaneous tissue, and fascia with a fulminant course and a high morbidity and mortality. It rarely affects the breast. We report a postmenopausal woman presenting with necrotizing infection of the breast requiring mastectomy.

Male breast cancer is a rare disease. Atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH) in men is much rarer, and bilateral involvement is exceptional. A 20-year-old male presented with bilateral gynaecomastia who underwent subcutaneous mastectomies and histopathology revealed bilateral ADH. At 24 months, completion mastectomies were performed on both sides. The residual breast tissue revealed ADH similar to the initial specimen. ADH in women increases the risk of breast cancer by four to five times. To our knowledge, this is the first case report of bilateral ADH in a gynaecomastia specimen.

BACKGROUND: To summarize the experiences on the mastoscopic subcutaneous mastectomy for gynecomastia by "nine-step method" based on the "5S" goal and standardize this operation.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: Between January 1, 2002, and October 31, 2021, a total of 2035 breasts of 1082 male patients with gynecomastia, of which 129 patients with one side, were underwent mastoscopic subcutaneous mastectomy. The follow-up endpoint was 3 months after surgery.

Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) of the male breast is rare. Even more rare is the finding of DCIS in association with gynecomastia. The influence of postoperative radiation therapy on ipsilateral shoulder function following mastectomy was evaluated from a series of 52 women with primarily operable carcinoma of the breast. BACKGROUND: Single axillary incision reverse-order endoscopic nipple-sparing mastectomy overcomes the limitations of conventional endoscopic nipple-sparing mastectomy application. We introduce this technique and report the preliminary results of this study.
METHODS: Patients who received single axillary incision reverse-order endoscopic nipple-/skin-sparing mastectomy from May 2020 to May 2022 were enrolled from a single institution. Data were analyzed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of this technique. Patient-reported and surgeon-reported cosmetic outcomes were collected.
