The present study was conducted to investigate the occurrence of taurodontism and pyramidal molars in Goa children, hitherto considered rare in Indians. Radiographs of 300 children of 9 to 13 years were evaluated. The criteria of Keene (1966) was used to designate taurodonts. Ten children showed taurodontism: involving mandibular second molars in eight cases, maxillary first molars in three cases; and pyramidal molars in three cases, four cases showed associated findings. Thorough X-ray examination is a valuable adjunct in the clinical assessment of supernumerary teeth. Three cases of supernumerary teeth comprising paramolars and molars are presented with radiographic documentation. All the patients received surgical treatment after full clinical and radiographic evaluation.

Uterine natural killer (uNK) cells have been hypothesized to serve a role in controlling trophoblast invasion and proliferation. The rate of regression of the beta subunit of human chorionic gonadotropin in patients successfully treated by single-agent chemotherapy with methotrexate (MTX) for postmolar nonmetastatic gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (NMGTN) has not previously been described.
