Angiogenesis is an important and interesting scientific subject in the area of malignant tumours. Current research importance and interest are directed in connection to blood microvessels in cancer cell proliferation, tumour growth, and metastasis. Tyrosine kinases have been intensely implicated as therapeutic targets that affect the angiogenic process in tumour growth. In the last decades, targeting angiogenesis has led to achievements in the therapy of different carcinomas by different mechanisms, such as the utilization of anti-angiogenic small molecule receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors.

INTRODUCTION: Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) are active in a variety of metastatic cancers. They have a good general tolerance with mainly hepatic and dermatological side effects. Rarely, ophthalmologic side effects may occur: eyelash abnormalities, eyelids abnormalities, disorders of the ocular surface with ocular dryness or even corneal erosions that can even lead to perforation. Regorafenib is a new oral multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor that inhibits multiple protein kinases, including those involved in tumor angiogenesis, oncogenesis and tumor microenvironment.

PURPOSE: We aimed to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of lenvatinib in patients with advanced anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) in real-world practice.
METHODS: This multicenter, retrospective cohort study included 14 patients with advanced ATC who received lenvatinib. We evaluated the response rate according to RECIST.

The present study demonstrated the efficacy of a pour-on formulation of fluazuron 2.5 % and flumethrin 1 % (Drastic Deadline eXtreme®) against Rhipicephalus decoloratus and Rhipicephalus microplus on cattle on pasture previously grazed by experimentally infested animals.
