A 38-year-old woman with documented Crohn's disease (CD) had uniocular nodular episcleritis and a limbal nodule with surrounding infiltrate, which, when healed, left residual pannus. Histopathological and immunohistochemical findings in 11 patients with spontaneous congenital non-pigmented epithelial cysts of the iris stroma were studied. The cysts were lined by stratified squamous to unilayered cuboidal non-pigmented epithelium. Goblet cells were present in nine cysts, indicating a similarity to conjunctival epithelium. BACKGROUND: Esophageal granular cell tumor (eGCT) is rare, and the recent literature suggests a link between eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) and eGCT. The aim of our study was to determine if EoE or other disorders associated with eosinophilia are consistently associated with eGCT.

A diverse group of antimicrobial proteins (AMPs) helps protect the mammalian intestine from varied microbial challenges. We show that small proline-rich protein 2A (SPRR2A) is an intestinal antibacterial protein that is phylogenetically unrelated to previously discovered mammalian AMPs. Intestinal metaplasia is characterized by Goblet cells and Peneth cells in histological examination. It is frequently observed in gastric mucosa with atrophic gastritis and easily diagnosed using Methylene blue stain in endoscopy. Late asthmatic reaction (LAR) and dual asthmatic reaction (DAR) were developed in guinea pigs by repetitive treatment with toluene 2,4-diisocyanate (TDI).
