BACKGROUND: Congenital spinal lipomas are closed spinal dysraphisms belonging to the neural tube defects (NTDs) group. We report a case of congenital tracheal stenosis with tracheomalacia, which shows unique histological findings. A 1056 g male infant was delivered by cesarean section for fetal asphyxia at 28 wk of gestation. Immediately after birth, he had frequent apneic spells and required intubation and ventilation for 70 days. After he was discharged at 240 days of age, he had occasional apneic spells and was resuscitated by his family doctor. When he was admitted to our hospital at 11 months of age, he had a respiratory rate of 32 breaths/min with retractions, and auscultation revealed biphasic wheezes.

OBJECTIVE: To emphasize the importance of early diagnosis in cases of müllerian adenosarcoma that appeared as benign-looking cervical polyps.
METHODS: We examined seven cases of müllerian adenosarcoma of the uterus in patients 14-63 years of age (median 39 years). Tissue protruding from the external os and an initial diagnosis of a cervical polyp were common findings for all patients. On repeated examination, all lesions were interpreted as müllerian adenosarcomas.

Toxoplasma gondii typically causes lifelong chronic infection and has been identified in a variety of intermediate and definitive hosts.
