Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a low-grade sarcoma seldom seen in the vulva with only 29 cases reported. We present the clinicopathologic and immunohistochemical features of 13 such cases seen in our institution over a period of 29 years (1978 to 2007). Forty-three children with nonrhabdomyosarcomatous soft tissue sarcomas (NRSTS) were treated at the Northern Israel Oncology Center in Haifa, Israel, from 1971 to 1996. Low-grade fibromyxoid sarcoma (LGFMS) is a rare mesenchymal tumor that is characterized by a benign histology but potentially aggressive clinical behavior, with a high rate of recurrence and metastasis. It primarily occurs in young adults in the extremities, inguinal area, neck, or chest wall. There are rare reports of intracranial LGFMS in adults.
