In group of 202 eyes in 125 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma with an observation period from 12 to 66 months (32.6 z 4.8 months) the effectiveness of ALT was analyzed in relation to the time factor. The reduction of the intraocular pressure was statistically significant and treatment was successful when the intraocular pressure was reduced beneath 2.66 kPa (20 mm Hg) in 64.4%. Twenty-one eyes of eighteen patients with clinically uncontrolled open angle glaucoma, 3 to 49 months after the initial laser treatment underwent repeat argon laser trabeculoplasty. Retreatment was successful in eleven eyes (52%). Ten eyes (48%) has marked increases in intraocular pressure, necessitating urgent filtering surgery. Repeat argon laser trabeculoplasty was effective for these patients who show a prolonged response to their initial treatment.

Secondary anterior chamber implantation has become relatively simple since the advent of viscoelastic materials. Still, glaucoma, cystoid macular edema, endophthalmitis, and astigmatism remain vision-threatening complications. We studied intraocular pressures (IOPs) following this surgery in 102 patients (124 eyes) over 6 years. We describe a case of 34-year-old male with post penetrating keratoplasty glaucoma, post trabeculectomy with aphakia in the only seeing eye, in which a modified surgical technique of inserting Ahmed glaucoma valve (AGV) tube in vitreous cavity was done to reduce the risks associated with pars plana incision during pars plana vitrectomy (PPV). A hybrid 20-25 gauge PPV was done concurrently, implant fixed to sclera, and tube inserted through the 25 gauge sclerotomy port in supero-temporal quadrant. Visual acuity and intraocular pressure remained stable during 1-year follow-up.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to report a rare case of posttrabeculectomy bleb-related infection associated with Corynebaterium macginleyi, a rare conjunctival pathogen.
METHODS: Case description including clinical imaging and microbiology data, and literature review of Corynebacterium macginleyi-related infections.
RESULTS: A 60-year-old glaucomatous female patient presented with a bleb-related infection 6 years after trabeculectomy in her right eye, suggestive of blebitis. No bleb-related endophthalmitis was reported.

We report two cases of intraocular cysticercosis which showed a peculiar presentation of neovascular glaucoma which is hitherto unreported. Two young adults presented with symptoms of raised intraocular pressure due to neovascular glaucoma. On dilated fundus examination both were found to have dead intravitreal cysticercosis. PURPOSE: To report the echographic appearance of a scleral fold in hypotony.
METHOD: We performed ultrasonography on a patient who, after trabeculectomy with mitomycin C, had an intraocular pressure of 1 mm Hg, an opaque cataract, and suspected hypotonous maculopathy in the left eye.
RESULTS: An area of dome-shaped eyewall thickening was noted near the tendon of the lateral rectus muscle in primary gaze. This thickening increased substantially in lateral gaze, mimicking a foreign body or a tumor.
