Paracetamol is a common analgesic and antipyretic drug that is used for the relief of fever, headaches and other minor aches and pains. Their determination in pharmaceuticals is of paramount importance, since an overdose of paracetamol can cause fulminating hepatic necrosis and other toxic effects. Many analytical methodologies have been proposed for the determination of paracetamol. The aim of the present study is to evaluate the utility of different techniques for quantification of paracetamol content in pharmaceutical formulations and biological samples.

The clinical significance of magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) using half-Fourier acquisition single-shot turbo spin-echo (HASTE) in the evaluation of congenital anomalies of pancreaticobiliary tract was demonstrated in 56 patients (man: 31, women: 25; age: 0-60 years old, mean 15 years old) with suspected congenital anomalies of pancreaticobiliary tract. The image quality and characteristics were assessed. MRCP using HASTE with a phased array coil can be used as a non-invasive method for the evaluation of congenital anomalies of the pancreaticobiliary tracts.

In patients with intractable epilepsy, surgical resections are performed with the primary goal of improving seizure control. The risk is that the resections may also remove tissues crucial for normal activities. We assessed MR findings of throwing injuries occurring in the elbow joint using three-dimensional Fourier transform (3DFT) and short tau inversion recovery (STIR) images. MR images of 63 elbows in 63 male patients aged from 10 to 32 years (mean age, 15 years 11 months) suffering from throwing injury were visually analyzed. Ursolic acid (UA) possesses antifungal activity against A. alternata, however, its poor solubility poses a challenge for practical application. We prepared UA nanoemulsions consisting of ethyl oleate, Cremophor EL, and Transcutol HP. The particle size of the UA nanoemulsions ranged from 20.53 to 27.88 nm.
