BACKGROUND: The aim of this study was to investigate the feasibility and clinical value of transvaginal surgical treatment for cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP-II).
MATERIAL AND METHODS: This study was a retrospective analysis of 25 CSP-II patients who received transvaginal surgical treatments. These patients were admitted in our hospital between January 2010 and June 2012.

OBJECTIVES: To report clinical implementation of cell-free DNA (cfDNA) analysis of maternal blood in screening for trisomies 21, 18 and 13 in twin pregnancies and examine variables that could influence the failure rate of the test.
METHODS: cfDNA testing was performed in 515 twin pregnancies at 10-28 weeks' gestation. OBJECTIVE: Shock index (SI) and predictive score grading system including it for predicting medical treatment failure of tubal pregnancies have been studied.
STUDY DESIGN: Eighty-eight patients were diagnosed as nonruptured tubal pregnancies. Shock index was calculated as the ratio of heart rate to systolic arterial pressure. Personal experience in a case of primary germinal tumor of the testis in advanced state is described. The initial treatment was chemioterapy: the patient received four complete cycles of cisplatin-based chemoterapy (PEB scheme). A surgical treatment consisted of a radical inguinal orchiectomy with high ligation of the spermatic cord at the deep inguinal ring associated with interaortocaval lymphonodes dissection. Actually, after two years from the beginning of treatment, the patient is well, without signs of neoplasm disease.
