Splenogonadal fusion is a rare congenital anomaly in which there is fusion of the spleen and the gonad or mesonephric derivatives. We present the case of a 22-month-old female child who presented with severe recurrent rectum prolapse. The patient was successfully managed using the laparoscopic simple suture rectopexy approach with 5-mm instruments employing two 3-0 nonabsorbable sutures on either side of the rectum to secure it to the presacral fascia. There was no blood loss, and the procedure was completed without complication. The child was followed up for a period of 24 months with good results.

We report two cases of solitary ulcer of the rectum treated by Orr Loygue rectopexy technique in a ten-year period at the Surgery Department of Aristide Le Dantec. Duodenal atresia (DA) in babies with oesophageal atresia (OA) is associated with significant morbidity and mortality. The management protocol for this combination of anomalies is not well defined and evolving. In recent years the number of patients with partial or total rectal prolapse has increased. Numerous techniques and surgical approaches have been described for its treatment. OBJECTIVE: Since the introduction of a preformed silo to the authors' practice in 1997, there has been a decrease in primary closure of gastroschisis. To clarify the impact of this change, the authors reviewed their results over the past 10 years.

Carcinoma of the pancreas is the fourth leading cause of cancer related death in Western Countries. The 5-year survival for resectable tumors is 15-25%, while patients with unresectable neoplasms survive a median of 7 months. Only 30% of carcinomas of the head of pancreas and 10% of the body and tail are resectable for cure.
