PURPOSE: To quantify the angle characteristics in an Indian population, and determine the prevalence of eyes at risk of angle closure.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: This population-based cohort study was carried out to evaluate individuals, 40 to 59 years of age, clinically. The individuals underwent anterior segment optical coherence tomography of their right eyes in the horizontal meridian, using the enhanced protocol.

AIM: This study aims to determine treatment patterns, long-term intraocular pressure (IOP) and perimetric control in different glaucomas seen at a tertiary eye center.
SETTINGS AND DESIGN: Hospital-based, cross-sectional chart review of patients routinely following up at an outpatient glaucoma service.
METHODS: Patients with a follow-up of at least 10 years were evaluated. Their mean IOP, visual field (VF) status, and medications/surgery required at final assessment were noted.

The records of 74 patients with primary angle-closure glaucoma were reviewed. Cataract formation in 103 eyes treated with argon laser were compared with eyes in an age- and sex-matched, randomly-selected control group to determine whether cataract formation was hastened by laser iridotomy. Within the past five years we have performed excision of one quadrant of the ciliary body (pars plicata) (e.c.b.) in 22 eyes with secondary narrow-angle glaucoma.
