Apple polyphenols (APs) have gained attention for their various bioactivities, while no studies on anti-liver fibrosis activity are reported. This study evaluated the protective effect of APs on liver fibrosis using LPS-treated activated HSC-T6 cells and alcohol-treated liver fibrosis (ALF) mice. In experiments on 22 white 1.5-month-old rats-males there were studied influence of Hypericum perforatum L. and minerales from Dyovit® on periodont's tissues under periodontits modelling. Examined preparation normalizes level of glicosaminoglicanes in gum, but did not completely show protective effects relative to collagen's fraction. In periodont's bone preparation decreases resorbrtion; increases activity of AlP and in the same time normalizes activity of AcP.

Hypholomine B, a styrylpyrone-class polyphenol, was isolated from the fruiting body of Tropicoporus linteus (syn. Phellinus linteus) HN00K9 and identified using mass spectrometry and NMR spectroscopy.
