Its attenuation significantly contributes to the pathogenesis of Progressive Collapsing Foot Deformity (PCFD). Thus, anatomical reconstruction of the ITCL could offer promise in treating flexible (Stage 1) PCFD, aiming to restore subtalar joint stability and prevent deformity progression.
