BACKGROUND: Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer occurring in adults in Europe and the USA. A low incidence has been reported in the black American population and in Africa, however. This study investigates the incidence of melanoma and epidermoid and basocellular carcinoma at Cotonou in Benin.
METHODS: Over 20 years, 19 patient records were collected, 16 of which were the subject of a retrospective epidemiologic study.

Malignant tumors of the eye are uncommon, yet of great importance due to their effect on the patient's life and vision. The most common primary intraocular tumors are retinoblastoma in children and uveal melanoma in adults. The most common periocular tumor is basal cell carcinoma in eyelids. BACKGROUND: Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common skin cancer and originates from the basal layer of the epidermis. It is most common in the head and neck region. It usually grows slowly and rarely metastasizes. The gold standard treatment is surgical excision.
AIMS: In this study, it was aimed to discuss the demographic and medical data of patients treated with the diagnosis of BCC.

BACKGROUND: Spontaneous regression of basal cell carcinomas (BCC) is a well-documented phenomenon. In practice, we have observed melanocytic aggregates associated with BCC at various stages of regression showing unique morphologic features.
METHODS: Fourteen cases featuring melanocytic aggregates were retrospectively identified through a pathology database search. Clinical and histopathologic features were systematically evaluated, and additional immunohistochemical studies were performed.
