True aneurysm of the splenic artery is rare. Two cases of ruptured true splenic artery aneurysms are presented. The first patient was a 62-year-old female who presented within 6 hours of the onset of symptoms. Ovarian pregnancy is a rare form of ectopic pregnancy in which the gestational sac is implanted within the ovary. The incidence is 0.5 to 3% of all ectopic gestations. In contrast to patients with tubal pregnancies, traditional risk factors, such as pelvic inflammatory disease and prior surgical procedure upon the pelvis, may not play a role in the aetiology. In the 2 cases reported here, it seems that using an intrauterine contraceptive device was an important factor.

Severe life-threatening complications as a result of ultrasonically guided ovum pick-up for IVF may rarely occur. We report 14 cases, out of 3,656 patients undergoing the procedure, presenting with a clinical picture of acute abdomen. In 9 patients tubo-ovarian and pelvic abscess were diagnosed; 3 were treated by laparotomy, whereas in the other 6, culdocentesis and drainage were performed. The aim of this study was to assess a newly developed computerized tomography (CT)-based splenic injury index in predicting the outcome of splenic injury. Twelve patients with isolated splenic injuries were studied. Splenic parenchymal injury was graded from 1 to 4 based on CT. The splenic injury index was obtained by multiplying the parenchymal score by the volume haemoperitoneum, which was measured on the CT scanner. Five cases of intraperitoneal hemorrhage associated with hypotension and the lack of a tachycardic response are presented. A man in his 70s presented with a sudden onset stabbing back pain radiating to the chest and pre-syncopal symptoms. A 27-year-old woman, fourth gravida, with three prior consecutive vesicular moles was diagnosed with a recurrent vesicular mole on ultrasonography (USG) and had very low β-human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) values. We report a case of spontaneous break of the wide ligament revealed by an abdominal pelvic painful syndrome of rough appearance in 36 weeks+2 days with an acute foetal suffering and an important hemoperitoneal to a primigeste of 32 years. The laparotomy explorer allowed to make the diagnosis but the foetal forecast was dramatic.
