An unusual case of a 21-year-old nonpregnant woman with a left ovarian dermoid cyst complicated by an entero-ovarian fistula is presented. This case illustrates the importance of the contrast media enema for detecting this unusual complication.

Colouterine fistula complicating diverticulitis is rare. Our experience with two patients, one with chronic vaginal discharge and the other with acute overwhelming sepsis, emphasizes the wide spectrum of clinical presentations that may accompany this entity. In patients with chronic symptoms, surgery is indicated to forestall further local infectious complications, and a single-stage sigmoid resection without hysterectomy may be adequate. The combination of cholecystoduodenocolic fistula with gallstone ileus is rarely seen. To our knowledge, there have only been six previous reports with these findings. A 66-year-old woman's condition was diagnosed preoperatively as small-bowel obstruction and communications between the gallbladder, duodenum, and colon. The small-bowel obstruction was successfully relieved by removing a large gallstone from the midileum, leaving the inflammatory mass in the right upper quadrant undisturbed. Urological complications in Crohn's disease are relatively common conditions. However, a few cases with sigmoido-vesical fistula as a complication of the disease have been reported. We experienced a case of a 16-year-old boy with pneumaturia due to sigmoido-vesical fistula as a complication of Crohn's disease.

Three cases of gastrocolic fistula due to benign gastric ulcer seen during a 5-year period are presented. Although colonic or gastric malignancy is said to be the commonest cause of gastrocolic fistula, in the same period only 1 case due to colonic carcinoma was seen. The important role played by radiology in the diagnosis of gastrocolic fistula is emphasized and the clinical presentation is discussed, together with the possible role of analgesics in the aetiology.

A case of an arteriointestinal fistula following surgery for trauma is reported. In prevention of this complication, it is suggested that temporary ileostomy and mucous fistula be considered in cases of combined right colon and intra-abdominal vascular injuries to eliminate a leaking bowel anastomosis as a source of contamination of the vascular repair.

A case of left renocolic fistula secondary to chronic pyonephrosis has been reported. Neprectomy, excision of the fistulous tract, and closure of the colon is the treatment of choice. This was accomplished in this case with excellent results.
