The anatomy of the pectoralis major tendon is unique with an elongated thin footprint requiring multiple points of fixation to restore the native anatomy. OBJECTIVE: To explore the approach to repair faciocervical scars.
METHODS: Eighty-six patients with large faciocervical scars were repaired using the expanded deltopectoral flaps. After expansion, the flaps were transpositioned to repair faciocervical scars. Three weeks later the pedicles were separated and their skin tubes were flattened for the repair of the remaining faciocervical scars.
RESULTS: Of the 86 cases, 80 achieved effective results with all the flaps surviving. Six cases showed achromatosis after healing because of the compromised blood supply.

BACKGROUND: Tracheoesophageal puncture (TEP) combined with a voice prosthesis is commonly used for voice production in postlaryngectomy patients. In certain cases, however, leakage occurs around the prosthesis. Many techniques have been described to correct this problem. Surgical closure of the puncture site has to be done if the conservative techniques fail. We present the use of the pedicled deltopectoral flap on the basis of a single perforator in the closure of these fistulae.

PURPOSE: With transition from supine to prone position, tenting of the pectoralis major occurs, displacing the muscle from the chest wall and shifting the level I and II axillary spaces. For patients for whom we aim to treat the level I and II axillae using the prone technique, accurate delineation of these nodal regions is necessary. Although different consensus guidelines exist for delineation of nodal anatomy in supine position, to our knowledge, there are no contouring guidelines in the prone position that account for this change in nodal anatomy.
