OBJECTIVES: Localization of ectopic ACTH-secreting tumours causing Cushing syndrome (ECS) is essential for clinical management, yet often difficult. [68 Ga]-DOTATATE PET/CT ([68 Ga]-DOTA-(Tyr3 )-octreotate)] is an FDA-approved high-resolution diagnostic tool for imaging neuroendocrine tumours. Data on the clinical utility of [68 Ga]-DOTATATE in patients with ECS, however, are scarce. BACKGROUND: Patients with neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) of the gastrointestinal tract suffer frequently from chronic diarrhea. A well characterized medical advice containing zeolite (Detoxsan® powder) was applied to patients suffered from therapy-refractory diarrhea either by its frequency or by watery stool, despite receiving standard pharmacotherapy according to the guidelines for carcinoid syndrome and comorbidities. Detoxsan® powder acts as an adsorbent and might reduce significantly symptoms of diarrhea in patients suffering from NETs.

Ga NOTA-bisphosphonate is a new bone-seeking PET radiotracer undergoing clinical evaluation. We report a case of a carcinoma breast who underwent Ga NOTA-bisphosphonate PET/CT for detection of skeletal metastasis. In addition to skeletal metastasis, a focal area of abnormal radiotracer uptake was noted in the brain, which was confirmed as brain metastasis on MRI.

We report here a patient with mucosa associated lymphoid tissue (MALT)-lymphoma of the breast complicated with Sjögren syndrome. It is speculated that Ga-67 could accumulate not only in lymphoma lesions but also in benign lymphoproliferative locations of Sjögren syndrome. Gallium-67 scintigraphy might be useful for the diagnosis and therapeutic monitoring of MALT-lymphoma complicated with Sjögren syndrome.

PURPOSE: Ga-67 planar and SPECT images of 85 patients after treatment for mediastinal-hilar (M-H) lymphoma were reviewed retrospectively. Forty-seven patients had Hodgkin's disease and 38 patients had non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The entire period was 7 years after diagnosis. The main goal was visual assessment of the significance of mild (grades 1 or 2) Ga-67 uptake in the M-H area as compared with Ga-67 uptake in bone marrow.

UNLABELLED: This work aimed to assess the significance of abnormal gastroduodenal uptake in the 67Ga scintigraphy of HIV patients who have been studied for fever of unknown origin. The examinations of 12 patients who had had a normal panedoscopy when the 67Ga scan was done, were selected. One out of 7 patients without gastroduodenal 67Ga uptake was diagnosed of non-specific gastritis. Five patients had abnormal gastroduodenal involvement in the 67Ga scan. One of them was diagnosed of high grade lymphoma. The other 4 patients were diagnosed of mycobacteriosis.
