We herein report an unusual case of apocrine carcinoma on the forehead. The lesion was formed by the anastomosis of numerous tubular structures with widespread decapitation secretion, thus demonstrating apocrine differentiation. However, we observed some unusual histopathologic features that differed from those found in typical examples of apocrine ductal carcinoma, namely: 1) a relatively well-circumscribed lesion in the dermis, and 2) nodular or solid aggregations composed of basaloid cells. Congenital hernia in the umbilical cord is a rare form of ventral abdominal wall defect, which, if not diagnosed, can lead to iatrogenic intestinal injuries due to improper umbilical clamping. We report a case of a newborn referred to our center for intestinal obstruction caused by a decapitated Meckel's diverticulum located within the umbilical cord. Angiotensin (Ang), vasopressin (VP) and atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) were assayed in the anterior uvea and retina from eyes of decapitated rats and rats perfused through the heart with phosphate buffered saline to remove peptides from blood and ocular fluids. Studies were carried out on 10 rabbits divided into two groups. Group I was fed on a physiological diet, group II was given additionally 200 mg of cholesterol daily. After 2 weeks the rabbits were decapitated and, having prepared the tissues according to Zannoni, the level of vitamin C was determined in the plasma, liver and intestinal wall by the method of Roe-Kuenther.
