OBJECTIVE: Patients with endometrial intraepithelial neoplasia may have concurrent endometrial cancer if managed surgically or develop cancer in time if managed conservatively. Therefore, intraoperative assessment of the uterus may be helpful if a surgical approach is decided on. Data on 2436 primary breast carcinomas diagnosed between 1992 and 2006 were collected to evaluate the rate of frozen section procedures performed over time. BACKGROUND: Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) is used to detect breast cancer axillary metastases. OBJECTIVE: The management of the male urethra after cystectomy for bladder cancer continues to be a dilemma. Patients who undergo a cystectomy require either urinary diversion or bladder substitution. Therefore, the use of the urethra to ensure voiding is important.
