BACKGROUND: Housing insecurity resulting from multiple, involuntary residential moves is detrimental to the health and wellbeing of families with children. Policy makers seeking to mitigate these negative effects require a measure of risk of housing insecurity. Here we present the development of a novel risk index for England. Increased neighborhood flood risk predicts lower odds of households moving out of their neighborhood. This association is largest for renters, low-income homeowners, and Black homeowners. This pattern may reflect housing insecurity, which can manifest as both immobility and instability. Studies of climate and population should disaggregate by race and ethnicity, income, and housing tenure.

INTRODUCTION: Housing insecure veterans are aging, but the prevalence of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD) in the population is unknown.
METHODS: We calculated the prevalence of AD/ADRD diagnoses in 2018 among veterans that experienced homelessness, were at-risk for homelessness, or were stably housed.
