Sarcoma botryoides of the cervix is an extremely rare tumour and seems to be associated with a better prognosis than its vaginal counterpart. Thirty patients with histologically proven recurrent or persistent squamous cell cervical carcinoma were treated with chemotherapy, consisting of a combination of bleomycin, ifosfamide and cis-platin (BIP). STUDY DESIGN: This is a phase II groupwide study of the Gynecologic Oncology Group. Intracranial germ cell tumor is sometimes associated with Down syndrome; however, no optimal treatment has been developed due to the high risk of recurrence and treatment-related mortality.
