OBJECTIVE: The differential diagnosis between rheumatic diseases and infectious conditions is a great challenge in clinical practice. Adult-onset Still's disease (AOSD) is a rare systemic inflammatory syndrome that shares several clinical and laboratory variables with sepsis.
