Despite existing preventative strategies, their incidence continues to rise, highlighting a need for better intervention. Penile vascular macules represent an under-recognised clinical entity that can present both idiopathically and secondary to trauma. INTRODUCTION: The Flash-lamp pulsed dye laser (FPDL) is nowadays considered the most precise laser currently on the market for treating superficial vascular lesions. In this study, we gathered data from 10 years of experience regarding dye laser treatment of patients presenting vascular malformations such as telangiectasia, rhinophyma, port-wine stain, cherry and spider angioma and vascular tumours.

This is an observational study demonstrating the effectiveness of pulsed dye laser (PDL) as a treatment of basal cell carcinomas (BCC) in patients with Gorlin Syndrome. Over 200 BCCs localized to the head, neck, trunk, and extremities of a patient suffering from Gorlin Syndrome were successfully treated with PDL without subsequent scarring. PDL is a simple and rapid modality to destroy BCCs arising in patients with Gorlin Syndrome resulting in a preferable cosmetic outcome.

OBJECTIVES/HYPOTHESIS: Dysphonia due to vocal fold scarring is a challenging problem to the laryngologist. Vocal fold scarring after radiation, phonosurgery, and laser cordectomy causes moderate to severe dysphonia. Surgical attempts at scar removal and voice restoration have limited success.
