DESIGN: A prospective randomized study.
SETTING: A university-affiliated referral eye hospital.
PATIENTS: Thirty consecutive patients requiring trabeculectomy for uncontrolled primary glaucoma.

Epidermal suture knots can cause discomfort, skin irritation, and an increased risk for infection. We describe a hybrid suture method that combines elements of traditional simple interrupted and retention sutures with a layer of sterile, absorbent rolled gauze or a dental roll placed beneath the suture knots. This inexpensive method promotes a cleaner and more stable wound-healing environment, enhances patient comfort, simplifies postoperative wound care, and reduces complications such as necrosis and infection.

AIMS: The aims of this study were to compare surgical results and suture-related complications after uterosacral ligament suspension (USLS) with absorbable suture (AS) vs permanent suture (PS).
METHODS: We systematically searched PubMed, Embase, clinicalTrial.gov, and Cochrane Library Central Register of Controlled Trials for articles that compared AS with PS for USLS. The primary outcomes were surgical success rate and suture-related complications (suture exposure/erosion and suture removal). PURPOSE: To report a new complication of 360 degrees suture trabeculotomy attributable to subretinal suture misdirection.
DESIGN: Observational case report.
METHODS: Retrospective chart review.
RESULTS: A 5-month-old female with bilateral congenital glaucoma underwent uncomplicated 360 degrees suture trabeculotomy in the right eye. In the left eye, a scleral flap was created and dissection to Schlemm's canal was achieved. A 6-0 Prolene suture was passed into Schlemm's canal long enough for 360 degrees of treatment, did not come out the opening, and was retracted. The procedure was completed
