Innate fear responses to tonic immobility (TI) and open field (OF) were evaluated in newly hatched chicks of three breeds with distinct breed origin and genetic relationships. White bean allergy is uncommon and rarely reported. Herein, we report a case of white bean allergy in a patient with Down syndrome. A 7-year-old girl with Down syndrome experienced allergic symptoms twice after eating white bean and visited our hospital for a food allergy investigation. PURPOSE OF REVIEW: This review aims to shed light on subtleties of achalasia diagnosis, including potential pitfalls that may lead to errors. Optimal methods for assessment of disease severity and the relationship between achalasia and other motility disorders will also be reviewed with an emphasis on recent findings from the literature.
