A subset of human regulatory T cells (Tregs) can secrete IFN-γ or IL-17, and thus share features of TH1 or TH17 effector cells and lose suppressive function. Caffeine is associated with elevated plasma epinephrine but the metabolic impact of this is uncertain. We carried out this experiment to evaluate the relationship between isoforms of cytochrome P450 (P450) and liver injury in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced endotoxemic rats.
