PURPOSE: The aim of this study is to investigate the functional and cosmetic outcome after surgical reconstruction in adult patients.
METHODS: Eleven hands of the 10 adult patients with radial polydactyly were treated surgically. Clinical and radiologic examination was performed and cases were classified according to the Wassel system. The outcome was evaluated according to the Modified Wood criteria.

The results of performance of 90 restoration and reconstructive operations in 71 patients with iatrogenic injury of extrahepatic biliary ducts were analyzed. The risk factors of iatrogenic injury were delineated. Original methods of restoration of the bile outflow into intestine were offered. The method of external extraperitoneal cholangiostomy via hepatic round ligament was recommended. Total postoperative mortality had constituted 15.7%.

OBJECTIVE: To introduce a new method for repair of eyelid defects.
METHODS: Eyelid reconstruction was performed using a prefabricated island flap with an expanded forehead myocutaneous flap and hard palate mucoperiosteal graft.
RESULTS: Five patients with congenital or acquired eyelid defects were successfully treated with this method.
CONCLUSION: The introduced method is rational and practical for clinical applications.

The proposed operative technique with maternal auricular cartilage ear-donor) is modification of the method of M. Madzharov et al., for total and partial reconstruction of the auricle.
