BACKGROUND: Many surgeons use a stent after ureteroscopic lithotripsy (URSL). For short-term stenting purposes, a surgeon has the choice of either a tethered or a non-tethered stent. MATERIALS AND METHODS: the study involved 695 healthy individuals aged 1-17 and 1564 patients with urolithiasis aged 7-45.
