INTRODUCTION: Cervical artery dissection is a major cause of cerebral ischemia in young adults and can lead to various clinical symptoms, some of which are benign (e.g. headache, neck pain, Horner's syndrome, and cranial nerve palsy). However, most patients have a stroke or transient ischemic attack.
EPIDEMIOLOGY: The incidence of cervical artery dissection is low and is estimated to be around 2.6 per 100,000 inhabitants. Mortality and short-term recurrence rates are low: however; they may have been underestimated.

Penetrating neck and chest injuries are a common form of occupational injuries. We hereby report a unique case in which a metallic rod had penetrated the left chest and neck of a plastic factory worker. The patient was vitally stable when he presented to Emergency Room. OBJECTIVES: A simple new technique, using a trapezoid island of vaginal wall, is described for elderly female patients undergoing transvaginal pelvic prolapse repair and suffering from stress urinary incontinence secondary to intrinsic sphincteric deficiency.
METHODS: Fifteen elderly women underwent bladder neck prop in association with other pelvic prolapse surgery. The mean follow-up period was 20 months.

BACKGROUND: Bow hunter's syndrome (BHS), also known as rotational vertebral artery occlusion syndrome, is rare. Occasionally, it combines with dissection/pseudoaneurysm of the ipsilateral VA.

During the routine dissection of a cadaveric specimen, the left mylohyoid muscle was found to be innervated by both the trigeminal and hypoglossal nerves. This variation was found unilaterally. To our knowledge this dual innervation of the mylohyoid muscle is an extremely rare variation. The possibility of these variants may lead to clinical consequences such as anesthesia failure and iatrogenic injury during surgical procedures in this region. We discuss this anatomical variation and possible developmental etiologies.

Patient presented as a 74-year-old male complaining of hoarseness. Electronic laryngoscope showed a neoplasm whose size was about 1.0 cm×0.5 … ttic, subglottic and soft tissue around larynx. Hence, a total laryngotomy and bilateral functional neck dissection was conducted. The histopathological examination agreed with the former one. Three weeks later, the skin around his tracheal cannula swelled,ulcerated and pyorrheal. After 10 days of dressing change, patient died of uncontrolled infection.
